In case you missed it, your Martin County Commission finally got what they wanted: Ground breaking for a bright and shiny new customs facility at Witham Field in Stuart, Florida. According to the article, “The 3,210-square-foot facility will allow international travelers coming by boat or air to clear customs in Martin County, instead of having to go through Fort Pierce or West Palm Beach.” Read TCPalm.com‘s full article here.
And in case you think that means there’ll be no additional impact on airport noise, think again. Those people clearing customs have to get here somehow, and our best guess is that most of them will come by plane.
