Last Friday, October 27, 2017, Palm City Road recorded 128 fights over their homes. They recorded another 60 during the weekend, and, today, Monday, October 30, they recorded 118 flights. At 8:15 p.m., as we post this, the planes continue to fly overhead, disrupting what’s otherwise a very pleasant, cool evening in Stuart. They note that ‘season’ hasn’t even officially begun and are dreading upcoming days like one in March 2016, when 182 flights were recorded.
As a result, they’ve asked that we post a request for recommendations for attorneys in Martin County who might be willing to take on the County Commission, Witham Field aka Martin County Airport, and this unbelievable airport noise situation. If you know someone willing to speak with the group, please send your referral to us — anonymously, if you prefer — using this form.

The 4-story limit being argued among residents and commissioners right now isn’t going to mean anything, if the flight schools at Witham Field are permitted to continue disrupting the peace, quiet, and lifestyle we’ve come to love. If we don’t tell the County Commission that we don’t want flight school plans flying over our homes every 4 or 10 minutes (that’s not an exaggeration), then how are they to know? If there’s no opposition to whatever actions they took/approved to make this happen, then they aren’t going to revert flight activity over our Stuart homes to prior levels (virtually none).
Please, please contact your County Commissioner and tell them that this level of flight training noise isn’t something you want in your hometown!
