Whether you evacuated or weathered the storm, we truly hope that you fared well during Hurricane Irma. We did, and we’re very, very grateful for our blessings. We’re encouraging people to give however they’re able and to any organization they trust. PayPal is accepting donations to various vetted organizations and is covering the cost of all PayPal fees. That means your donation via this link will net more to the organization than going directly to the organization’s PayPal donation page. Of course, giving cash directly to the organization itself is still the fastest, fee-free donation you can make!

Irma Benefit: Three Airport Noise-Free Days!
We’re sure you noticed, so we won’t belabor the point, but, gosh, wasn’t it nice to return to pre-2017 airport noise levels? It sure gives new meaning to the term “hurricane day,” and, yes, we were as excited as school children to hear Witham Field / Martin County Airport was shut down for a few days!
On Tuesday following Hurricane Irma’s visit to Stuart, we had just 21 planes flying over. On Wednesday, they were at 41, and, sadly, on Thursday, we were back at 63. This morning, September 15, 2017, before 10 a.m., we already listened to 27 of the noise-making machines. That included one super-noisy plane flying over us repeatedly and a handful of jets, to the point where we experienced the early warning signs of a migraine. Thanks loads, Martin County flight schools — your contribution to our lives is priceless.
